Thus far unclassified to any particular genre, Definition has combined catchy melodic phrasing with odd meter rhythms to create a challenging yet undeniably engaging sound. With a great degree of dynamics and variations, Definition transitions smoothly from crunchy riffs to soft melodic bridges while keeping a main theme. The four piece band is comprised of vocalist Tom Prilesky, guitarist Ryan Powell and brothers Todd and Jared Mumford on drums and bass respectively. With a solid backbone from the rhythm sections the guitars) have the space to be dynamic and melodic, while the vocals range from tight screams to soft whispers of intriguing and questioning lyrics. Founded a year and a half ago, Definition has quickly excelled to one of the busiest acts in the Fraser Valley and continue to work hard on stage as well as in the studio where they have just completed recording their debut album.
