Event Description
BIG:THE MUSICAL opens Thursday, July 14, 2005 and plays alternating nigths until August 19th. The West Coast Premiere for this charming Broadway musical that is based on the hit film, BIG, that starred Tom Hanks. 12-year-old Josh Baskin finds a machine that tells him to make a wish. The next morning Josh awakens to find his wish has come true. He is big. He lands a job at MacMillan Toys, where he meets Susan, who falls in love with him. Torn between his job, the new love interest, and his kid friend, Josh makes the hardest decision of his life - he knows he no longer needs to be big. Lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. Music by David Shire, and Book by John Weidman.
