If classic rock had a love child with a singer-songwriter, you would expect the result to be strange, disturbing even. Somehow, when you listen to Diamond Dust’s debut album, the lines get blurred and what seem to be two completely opposite genres collide and melt into something that is actually quite extraordinary.


electro pop duo:

Insatiably drawn to interesting beats and lyrically-driven songs, Colourful Language mixes a strong cocktail of two-parts binary, one-part electric guitar god, and one-part seventies synth sweetie. Delicious. Fitch and Warne are also both members of the west coast danger folk collective, The Geese, and have just returned home to Vancouver after touring the UK and Canada. Now back on their home turf, Fitch and Warne have been pouring their time and energy into Colourful Language, tweaking bizarre and wonderful new sounds into the wee hours. The result of this will be a new six-song EP that is sure to get stuck in your brain and warm the robotic cockles of your heart. Diamond Dust formed in 2007 as a collaboration between songwriter Josée-Anne (Jo) St-Onge and guitar player Craig (Riffer) Hare.
