Tue. August 21st 2012 The Biltmore Cabaret (No Minors)
9:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$10 at the door (proceeds to Megaphone Magazine)
THEN & NOW is a unique night of music that takes on an unusual format!

10 artists perform two songs each, an old and a new!

Artists perform one song from the THEN of their lives: the first song they ever wrote; a song from early in their career; a song that has never seen the light of day; something especially happy/sad/angsty.

Artists perform one song from the NOW of their lives: the newest, the greatest, the thing they are most excited about.

This event is a fundraiser for Megaphone Magazine and features a diverse lineup of Vancouver songwriters and artists. Lana Gay (of CBC Radio 3 fame) hosts; Weekend Leisure Karaoke makes sure the afterparty will be hands-on!

Jody Glenham (Alt Pop / Singer-Songwriter)

When Brian Wilson wrote the lyric "two girls for every boy" he couldn't have known, fifty years later, how this would sum up the fate of Vancouver's Jody Glenham. With timeless craft and haunting delivery, drinking in bed has never sounded better. more info

beekeeper (rockin' poppin' laughin' good times!)

beekeeper is an indie post-pop power trio from Vancouver. We play danceable, singable, thinkable tunes. We meld dissonance and odd time signatures with beautiful pop hooks and male/female three-part harmonies. Our live show is quirky, unpredictable, and musically satisfying. It is not rare for our sets to end with the entire audience on stage. -... more info
