Quebecois Fiddle Workshop
with OLIVIER DEMERS from LE VENT DU NORD

Sunday, May 30, 1-3pm
Workshop Cost: $40 (non-refundable unless cancelled but transferable)

WORKSHOP INFORMATION

The main focus of the workshop will be to learn some traditional tunes from Québec by ear. Sheet music can be available for those who want it via email. The speed of learning will be adapted to the majority of the group. Of course, we will try to learn as much as we can in the 2 hours that we have! There will also be an historical aspect of the répertoire, we will talk about the way it has been passed on as well as some other information about the tradition. Questions are appreciated to make sure it is an interactive workshop.

Please don’t hesitate to bring a recorder (if you have one) to make sure you’ll remember the tunes at home.
