Musicians wanted for noisy, messy pop thrills from Vancouver BC
Instruments: Bass, Guitar details

I thought I'd put the call out to see if anyone out there'd be interested in forming some sort of weird, wonky, indie-pop band? I've just arrived in Canada from the UK and thought it'd be a good excuse to meet some like-minded folks and make some cool music.

Figured Vancouver probably had enough sensitive alt-rock bands for the time being so I'd like to have a bash at doing something a bit poppier and dancier, but still a bit DIY and rough round the edges. You know, the sort stuff that makes you go "oh, I love this one!" and sends you stumbling out onto the dancefloor when they play it at 2am at some dodgy indie club.

Theres not much in way of a plan as yet. Just thought I'd put the bat-signal out and see who bites. I'm in my late twenties, play bass & guitar and can produce a bit. Musical ability very much not an issue just so long as you're down to earth and fancy having a crack at being in a band.

Something like. . . (Sorry if these are all a bit English, replace with the Canadian equivalent of your choice) Blondie, ESG, Pulp, The Go! Team, Metric, St Etienne, Bowie, Asteroid's Galaxy Tour, Slits, Roxy Music, Sex bob-omb, Pixies, Andrew WK, Bis, Suede, Belle & Sebastian, Orange Juice, Janelle Monae, Sleigh Bells, Alphabeat, New Pornographers, Robyn, Kenickie, LCD Soundsystem, Buzzcocks, Motown, Carter USM, Manic Street Preachers, Fight Like Apes, Uffie, XTC, Happy Mondays, Human League, Beastie Boys, Chic, KLF, Lykke Li, Ramones...

Any takers?
