Health Arts Society

Health Arts Society, under its presentation name ArtsWay, provides programs of the work of professional artists to health care organizations. The programs offer patients the qualities of engagement, contemplation and stimulation communicated by art and improve the environments of health care workers and the experience of visitors.

The Society develops programs that meet the values of patients and health care workers and the healing objectives of health care organizations and institutions.

The Society advocates the values of arts as a component in healing in the health care sector and the community at large.

The Society educates and increases the public’s understanding and appreciation of the arts.

The Society raises money and secures resources in kind to assist health care organizations and institutions to establish and fund programs provided by the Society and to meet the expenses of operating the Society.

The Society provides professional artists with opportunities for paid work and does not normally request they offer pro bono services.

The Society makes alliances with arts organizations and individual artists to further their reach into the community.

The Society encourages health care organizations and institutions to provide facilities for arts programs in existing and planned buildings.

“Professional artists” means creative artists who are normally paid for their work and students at the highest levels of training. “Programs” and “arts programs” mean projects arts including the following.

Music
Readings and performances from a wide range of literature including plays, poetry, fiction and non-fiction.
Film
Arts delivered by electronic media.
Dance.
Visual art works and furnishings. Music Society (Non-Profit)
