...To be thoroughly fucking disgusted by your use of it to draw attention to yourself.

But hey, it's what you wanted, right? Let's go through your cute little spiel and try to find something beyond the first line that has even the most remote connection to Remembrance day. I've had to paraphrase it, you write like an asshole:

1) The men we honour on Remembrance day died fighting for an ideal of freedom.

The fact that your ideal of freedom is based on self-delusion and circular logic doesn't invalidate everyone else's, asshole. They died fighting against an army that was carrying out mass exterminations - if you think they should have been fighting capitalism, asshole, I invite you to take your views to the Jewish community and let the few who survived know how upset you are that the world spent so much time trying to save them instead tackling the capitalist menace.

2) The world is full of suffering, and only truth can ensure freedom.

You're right. Instead of going overseas to stop the spread of an ideology that would ultimately lead to the enslavement...
(And I mean real enslavement, not enslavement like living off social welfare programs and sleeping in beds that you didn't pay for, using computers that were either paid for by other people's taxes or begging people for the money they earned by participating in capitalism),
...All the men who died should have stayed home and shit in the streets and lived off scraps and handouts from those who participated in our lovely market economy. We should have let the German army steamroll a few million more people! But wait! If everyone decided to join hands and 'be free' like you, who would you have to beg for change?

3) The human mind requires a certain amount of ignorance to maintain itself. Also, failing to read this piece of shit is a sign of ignorance.

You're too right on the first count, aren't you? It's a particular potent message coming right before your second point, isn't it asshole? This next one is a doozy, I'll do my best to translate it:

4) In the future, people will attempt to determine the cause of suffering, and everyone will find it (or as you put it, there will be a 'finding of it, en masse'. Asshole.) Everyone will grow up, and the world will be overpopulated and dependent on corruption.

Or, in english, "I found a few pages of an Isaac Asimov novel in a dumpster that I decided to rip off before I ate them." This has absolutely nothing to do with Remembrance day, asshole. I understand that living your life among severely damaged drug addicts has probably made you feel pretty intelligent, but if you want to play intellectual take it to a fucking university. And I don't mean start sleeping there, I mean go have an intellectual discussion with someone instead of posting garbled, one-sided cries for attention on the internet.

5) After everyone grows up, and we are both suffering from overpopulation and depending on corruption, everyone will become a fatalist. (Read: A lazy motherfucker like you.)

I won't ask you to explain the causal link between these two statements - I understand you're busy being unemployed.

6) This has been said before and will be said again

By whom, exactly? Who, asshole, other than yourself, has made the fucking obscene prediction that you have, using this particularly jaw-dropping lack of logical premise?

If you'd like to beak off, please do not involve sensitive subjects such as Remembrance Day. You don't need to make yourself look like any more of an idiot than you already do. You're a fucking parasite. - Tue, 13 Nov 2007 5:12pm Edited: Tue, 13 Nov 2007 5:59pm

You know, I did one of these like a year and a half ago, not about remembrance day(lest we forget).
But about ripping up the money of some good intention person who handed DJ $5 when he was standing in front of the upper room to prove a point. Instead of giving that $5 to the same upper room who supplement his life on the streets.

It all falls on deaf ears, trust me. - Tue, 13 Nov 2007 7:18pm
