Seven headed soul monster Fat Freddy's Drop will be shaking loose in 2010 with gigs announced for Aotearoa NZ and Australia, and we've got our sights set on sailing back across the seven seas to Europe and USA.Having dropped second studio album Dr Boondigga & The Big BW in 2009, the focus is on jamming new and classic tunes live and there is talk of some sneaky vinyl remixes on the horizon.
Dr Boondigga & The Big BW shipped Gold on release in NZ in 2009, hitting Platinum in four days and landing the Number 1 spot on the NZ Music Album Charts for five weeks straight.
With a solid running time of seventy minutes, Dr Boondigga & The Big BW features nine tracks of indefinable music - born from Freddy’s live jams, fantastic voyages & many hours of beat reduction & sonic fine tuning.

Fat Freddy Drop won Best Producer for Dr Boondigga & The Big BW in the technical award categories of this year's New Zealand Music Awards while artist Otis Frizzell was nominated for Best Album Cover and Fitchie for Best Engineer in the recently announced techies. In October 2009, Dr Boondigga & The Big BW landed Best Aotearoa Roots Album along with nominations for Album of The Year, Best Group and People's Choice Award. Chur.
