Event Description

We love the 70’s and all the amazing music and dance that it birthed. We believe that Vancouver needs a regular event that connects funk-style dancers and live soul music in a classy and fun environment. Our dream is to grow a respectful intergenerational party that will inspire you and all your friends to move, groove and express on one of the city’s best-kept dance floors while enjoying B.C.'s best funk music in one of Vancouver’s finest venues.

Monthly Classy Dance and Live Soul Music Party
What to expect:

• Think Soul Train meets Motown Meltdown
• The Phonix Band - Vancouver’s hottest 9-piece funk, soul and R&B band. Full horn section and plenty of soulful vocals
• Project Soul - performances from one of Vancouver’s best professional street dance groups (lockers, poppers and break dancers)
• Dance-line à la Soul Train
• Guest performances from some of Vancouver’s veteran soul singers and instrumentalists (June 19: featuring David Ward)
• Group dance lesson: learn some funky new moves
• Hosted by Alex Rema
• Drink Special
