. Friday, October 20th IMU presents SPIDERCRACKER, The STARLING EFFECT & SKYOTE &@ The Fairview, 898 West Broadway . Show 9:30pm / $10 cover

SPIDERCRACKER intersperses droning grooves and floating melodies with feedback-drenched walls of sound. Their intricate songwriting and creative guitars create a modernized sound reminiscent of bands like Sonic Youth and the Pixies. http://www.facebook.com/spidercracker

The STARLING EFFECT - Drawing from postpunk, shoegaze, '80s and '90s alt-rock and psychedelic sounds, The Starling Effect play atmospheric rock in the vein of Smashing Pumpkins, Interpol, R.E.M. and The Cure.
