It's been a hell of a run, but all good things come to an end. Cat Murphy Band will be celebrating in style with their final Open Mic Night at the Fairview Pub on April 19th.

Quite simply, we want to throw a BIG PARTY with all of the great musicians and friends who have made this Open Mic night special in the past couple of years. If you have ever played on our stage, shared a beer with us, or simply hoped to come check it out one day, this is the night to revel in it all. We're extending the hours of the Open Mic on special permission just this once from 8pm-2am!

Here's how it's going to go down:

1) Performances

Since we are hoping to get as many people on stage in one night as humanly possible, we will be doing a signup IN ADVANCE. All performers will be given 1 song. Make it your BEST song! Email us at [email protected] to sign up or follow the link:
We will do our best to give everyone a rough time slot, but our hope is that everyone can stay around to support each other for one last hurrah.

2) Midnight Group Performance of 'Wagon Wheel'

Got a guitar? Piano? Shaker? Kazoo? Just want to sing? At 12 MIDNIGHT we will be doing a group performance of Bob Dylan's 'Wagon Wheel', since it's awesome and definitely the most commonly covered song at our event. Ideally, the whole pub will have an instrument in their hand to play along. We will post the chords and lyrics on the night, but if you're a keener, we'll be playing the song in the key of Bb. Imagine how epic this will be. Everyone singing. 20+ guitars playing at the same time. And midnight = 4/20. Time for a nice, long toke. Emcee Kavi I'm talking to you.

3) Prizes

You know, special gifts for accomplishments like "Most Lucky Lagers Consumed Before Going on Stage" and stuff. Trivia. Just come already.

4) Entry By Donation

Cat Murphy is embarking on a cross-Canada journey. We will be writing original music in every city we stop in, and are looking for some financial support to be able to record the sessions and release an EP. Your help and support is always appreciated.

We are REALLY PUMPED to see all of you there. Please share this event and don't forget to EMAIL us to secure your spot on stage! This should be an EPIC celebration of live music.

See you all there!
