Brahms himself wrote this famous arrangement of his beloved Requiem for choir and two pianists. Its clarity presents a new, more intimate perspective, a sort of chamber music sensitivity which penetrates like an X-ray into the inner meanings of this most heartfelt of musical masterpieces. We are joined by the Bergmann Duo and round out this all-Brahms programme with melancholic partsongs and vivacious Hungarian Dances.

Johannes Brahms - Ein deutsches Requiem, Op. 45
