The Postmodern Camerata

Event Description

The vocal and instrumental ensemble The Postmodern Camerata will perform the second concert of their 2015–16 season, entitled Eternal Light. The programme includes: Dixit Dominus (by Handel), Lux Aeterna (by Ligeti), Fratres (for string quartet, by Pärt) & Lobet den herrn (a Bach motet, BWV 230). The Ligeti was used in the soundtrack to Kubrick’s film 2001 A Space Odyssey, while the instrumental Pärt is a haunting and celebrated composition.
