Meet Maria Callas, the world’s most famous soprano. She’s glamorous, compelling and caustic - and now, she wants to pass on her legacy to a new generation of singers. As her masterclass progresses, it becomes clear that this force of nature would rather teach life lessons than opera singing - and as she alternately destroys and inspires her students, the iconic diva offers a glimpse into her own turbulent past.

This February, Opera Mariposa is proud to launch the new Mariposa Theatre Wing with Terrence McNally’s Tony Award-winning play about the operatic life. Featuring a multi-award-winning cast and musical highlights by Bellini, Puccini and Verdi, you won’t want to miss this riveting drama where singers and audience alike spend an unforgettable evening with one of the most legendary artists of our time.
