Stunning North Delta, BC vocalist Leora Cashe and renowned Italian pianist/composer Luigi Bonafede team up to present an engaging jazz concert that features Vancouver’s top-flight jazz musicians with saxophonist Cory Weeds (CellarLive) bassist Russ Botten (Ernestine Anderson) and drummer Julian MacDonough (Mike Allen).

Hailing from Turin, Italy, Luigi has performed with many jazz luminaries including Michel Petrucciani, Enrico Rava, Kenny Clarke, George Coleman, Pat LaBarbera, James Moody, Slide Hampton and Billy Cobham and has toured extensively with popular Italian vocalist Rossana Casale. With a percussive and expressive piano style and influenced by the mysticism and music of John Coltrane, Luigi's songs shift between classical rigor and jazz freedom. Luigi has performed at numerous European jazz festivals including Umbria, Montreaux, Belgrade, Sienna, Warsaw, Amsterdam, and London and to date has played on over fifty CDs.

From her hometown of North Delta, BC to Italy, Belgium and the UK, Leora's rich resounding voice and dynamic stage presence have garnered numerous accolades. She reaches into the core of the listener with an exquisite range of emotional power and brings her own soulful perspective to each song. With her down-to-earth personality, Leora delivers an engaging performance that audiences love.

Join them in this engaging and intimate evening of jazz music that features Cashe's lyrics set to Bonafede's original compositions.
