Presented by: Tadaaki Hozumi
FAM JAM is a series of dance-centric events featuring carefully selected global soul music, interwoven with live improvisation by Vancouver's finest musical talent. Round #1 is going to be straight fire!

***The Cast***

MISTA TADDY (Selector)
Mista Taddy // Vancouver Groove Movement is a selector of the finest in uplifting music. His sounds range
from 60s Brazilian rock anthems, 70s Afro soul gems, 80s NYC underground hits, 90s truskool classics and beyond.

David Morin is known as Vancouver's best one man band. Come check out this loop pedal wonder, neo soul torchbarer and multi-instrumentalist rip it in an improvised jam with the rest of the cast!

Take a sniff of his sweetness here

Heartbeatshop (Soren T-Workshop and Wataru Uno) are core members of the infamous The Van City Soul Hop Committee. They will be joining forces to
unleash a dose of exploratory improvised triphop. Drum machines, turntables, loop pedals, microphones and hand percussion ... yes please!

BORIS (dancer)
Boris (Vancity Lockers) stumbled into dance 5 years ago and has been going deeper and deeper ever since. He works on Hip Hop, Popping, Hustle, and Dancehall - but claims Locking as his first love. As one of the co-founders of the Vancouver Street Dance Festival, he splits his time evenly between organizing events, practicing for battles/performances, and just feeling happy on the dance floor.

***Vancouver Groove Movement***

Vancouver Groove Movement is a loose collection of local DJs, musicians, and other artists united in the cause of rocking the jam and enriching the sonic landscape of Vancouver’s club culture.
