Event Description

. Saturday, September 4th IMU presents CRIMSON ROOTS, OLD ROGER, ELEPHANT TRAIN & The HARVEST @ The Fairview Pub, 898 West Broadway . Doors 8pm / Cover $10 online @ http://www.imuproductions.com/tix and at the door

CRIMSON ROOTS - Showcasing an original blend of east coast hard party music and west coast psychedelia, three warriors pillaged the vaults of creativity within their minds, their intense passionate musical voyage spawning the heavy, groove-rockin juggernaut that is Crimson Roots. This is the dawning of a great age, one where man and metal can live as one with rock as their foundation. http://www.myspace.com/crimsonrootsmusic

OLD ROGER - By turns fiery, eccentric, charming, innovative, vivacious and aggressive, Old Roger's adrenaline-charged mix of dynamics fuses influences ranging from punk, metal and rock to blues, jazz, funk, psychedelic and classical. Despite oppositely matched personalities, it's their startling chemistry that makes them such a powerful and invigorating live experience. http://www.myspace.com/oldrogerband

ELEPHANT TRAIN has been around for nearly two years, gaining a respectable following by playing shows throughout Vancouver. Their sound touches on a wide variety of genres and styles, combining funky licks that make the girls cry with a solid, lickity-split havoc that brings out the boogie in people. Quickly gathering speed with a new album of studio recordings, Elephant Train delivers a strong, enthusiastic live show full of funky original rock. http://www.myspace.com/elephanttrain

The HARVEST - Spawned in Victoria, The Harvest quickly relocated to Vancouver after realizing that sandalwood and politics weren't in the cards for them. Their sound is a mix of punk ethics, D.I.Y. personality and genuine passion for great music in a variety of styles from hard rock to blues and ska. While maintaining a steady regiment of songwriting, recording, shows and rehearsals, they've now opened a new home base in their own Aurora Studios where they're currently finishing work on their forthcoming second CD. http://www.myspace.com/myharvest
