This newly formed Vancouver trio of young players has a dynamic and mature sound. On jazz, rock, and Latin grooves, their music is influenced by Herbie Hancock, Airto Moreira, Bill Evans, Miles Davis, and the Bad Plus. With Eric North piano, Jordan Mann bass, Daniel Pennell drums. more info


This local guitar-led trio plays a mix of standards, originals, and rock tunes arranged for the jam-band scenario. With classic jazz-guitar trios in mind, their eclectic repertoire also incorporates tunes from the Beatles, Mingus, Zorn, Ellington, and more. more info

Vancouver singer/songwriter Shannon Scott’s lyrical and melodic pop/jazz is inspired by the weather, and everything tragic and trivial about life. Citing Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, Carmen McRae, Jeff Buckley, and more as influences, her music ranges from the simple to the harmonically and texturally complex. more info
