99.3 The Fox is set to unleash the class of 2006 Fox Vancouver Seeds winners on the city. The most recognizable independent music promotion in the country, Fox Vancouver Seeds has had a rich 30-year history of supporting and promoting Vancouver artists.

Once again this year, one band will receive a special Fox Platinum award which will include: A demo recording deal with Warner Music Canada, 1 Year Management consultation with Coalition Ent. (Our Lady Peace, Simple Plan), studio time with Producer Garth Richardson, and $1,500 in Tour Support.

This year 99.3 The Fox is ecstatic to welcome special guest headliner Danko Jones. Racy guitar lines, gravely vocals, and burning libidos—it must be Danko Jones, the gnarliest power-trio to come out of Canada since Rush, but a good deal sexier, savvier and hotter. Just listen to the band’s third full-length, Sleep is the Enemy, a riotous, out-of-control collection of prime and primed rock ‘n’ roll. Better yet, see singer/guitarist Jones, bassist John Calabrese and drummer Dan Cornelius onstage, where they live up to the title of their 2002 debut We Sweat Blood. After seeing this Artist of the Day (July 5 ’06) kick it out live, you’ll know it’s true—Danko Jones is rock ‘n’ roll, in all its sweat-drenched, unbuttoned, bold-as-love glory.
