They may be a Canadian institution, but roots-rock vets Blue Rodeo never stop moving forward. The band released its tenth album Are You Ready last year and it quickly took its place in the hearts and minds of fans as one of the sextet’s finest yet, with songs like the rocking title track and the wistful “Rena”. Founding members Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor are widely acknowledged as being among the country’s finest songwriters, and the number of classics these two have penned for Blue Rodeo and for their own solo projects could fill a book—songs like “Five Days in May”, “Diamond Mine” and “It Could Happen to You” are stone-cold classics. Remarkably, Blue Rodeo just keeps getting better and better, and their concerts are eagerly awaited events that almost inevitably sell out. Check out Blue Rodeo when they return for their 4th annual visit to Malkin Bowl.
