Wolfmother came together back in 2000, but the three conscientious young men spent years wood-shedding and jamming on distorto-epics, ensuring the group would be fully formed and worthy of attention before venturing into the limelight and inflicting its creation on listeners. In 2004 an EP introduced the group to hometown fans, and the next year a set at South by Southwest started tongues wagging in the U.S.

Wolfmother’s self-titled full-length album (scheduled for release in Canada on May 2nd, 2006) has earned the group rave reviews from music critics all over the world, as well as earning the band a spot on Rolling Stone's “10 Bands to Watch”. Armed with huge pop hooks, a magnificent, larger-than-life retro sound (complete with epic drum fills and majestic guitar hooks), lyrics about white unicorns and singer Andrew Stockdale's awe-inspiring afro, Wolfmother have arrived just in time to save music from complacency.
