Sat. September 10th 2005 The Lamplighter (No Minors)
9pm - 2am
Saturday, Sept 10th IMU & CiTR present Castle Project, Octoberman + Speaking Of Devils @ The LAMPLIGHTER

CASTLE PROJECT - "Fusing baroque charm with delicate embellishments of cello, synth and bombastic brass, Ryan Ostiguy does the impossible; creating a gorgeous pop record dedicated to the break up of his marriage. Think purer than Pedro the Lion. Think cooler than Coldplay. Think absolute fucking heartbreak."- Zulu Records

OCTOBERMAN is a project of Kids These Days' Marc Morrissette, whose melancholic tales of escape are accented by mandolin, lightly strummed guitars, keyboards, drum loops, samples, saxophone, whistling, cello & even a glockenspiel!

SPEAKING OF DEVILS play brooding, spaced-out rock accented by equal measures of twang and twee. Since their inception, they've shared the stage with bands such as Kids These Days, Panurge, Jonathan Inc and Dandi Wind.

Ryan stepped out of the Spitfires to... more info

Marc Morrissette becomes Octoberman when he lifts the guitar and utters some fragile melody that cracks between strums. The words he sings add up to decent stories, and his music has been compared to Jack Kerouac and Neil Young sharing a bottle of whisky. more info
