The Milk Crate Bandits are launching their 2nd EP in conjucntion with Vancity Hot Jazz. 'The View From Out Here' was recorded in New Orleans in October 2017 in the same sessions as 'The Neighbourhood'. The new record features a unique collection of standards and old favourites with a fresh new perspectives.

The launch will be a part of a West Coast tour with this wonderful line up of musicans. The night promisies to be a celebration of our wonderful East Van community of swing dancers, musicians, bubbas and hot jazz heads as well as a unqiue chance to hear this international line up! There's an awesome lineup of musicians on the night including Brad Shigeta (Ellington Band, Illinois Jacquet Band), Jen Hodge, Jack Ray and special guest all the way from Australia via Berlin, Chris O'Dear.

The night will start at 8pm with a free swing dance lesson and then 3 sets of music from 9pm with special guest jammers for the last two sets!

Make sure to catch the band led by the guy named as 'the future of jazz banjo' and 'the man to keep "Hot Jazz" alive by Woody Allen's banjo player Eddy Davis!

Pre-purchase tickets are $20 and include a CD copy of 'The View From Out Here' as well as entry into the show and the complemenatry swing dance lesson!

If not Sold Out Tickets will be available at the Door for $12 and CDs available for $10
