Joey Only and The Outlaw Band
The Joey Only Outlaw Band is a hard hittin psychedelic bluegrass comedy act who you can't easily compare with any one else that's out there. Joey's done a thousand shows in Canada, sang 50,000 dirges & drank 15,000 beers in the process of telling 22,000 jokes.

They'll play a smokin outlaw country punk sounding assemblage of hilarous, offensive and thought provoking that doesn't let up till the words LAST CALL are uttered from management. Up until now his albums were okay and his live shows were where he made his name, especially since 2002. But this new album NO MORE TROUBLE IN THE PEACE is a masterpiece. He once ran his own radio show for years and was on the charts of every college and CBC station at one time or another. Now he's back and better than ever. This is what Outlaw Country Punk in Canada is supposed to sound and act like.

Joey Only - guitar, lead vocals, songwriter
Little Ms. Leah Martin - vocals
Sean Scallion - drums
Ed Hanrahan - upright bass
Mike Morneau- telecaster leads

Gerry Hannah and The New Questioning Coyote Brigade
Many people may know of Gerry Hannah through his 25 year on again/off again involvement with the seminal Vancouver punk rock band the Subhumans. As one of the founding members of that group, he played bass guitar, sang background vocals and penned, arguably, some of the most memorable punk anthems written in North America.

Others may know of him through his brief involvement with an urban guerilla group known as Direct Action. This was the group of Canadian political activists commonly known as the Squamish Five that decided to try to stop regressive political and environmental policy through, well, direct action. The group was eventually arrested and Gerry was sentenced to ten years in prison for his part in the group’s activities.

But all along, Gerry has also been playing guitar, singing and writing folk/rock songs behind the scenes and has recently released a new solo album. The new album, titled Coming Home, chronicles the emotional history of being a revolutionary living underground, a political prisoner languishing behind bars and a sensitive, insightful, (if often despondent) observer of our current human condition.

Gerry’s current band, The New Questioning Coyote Brigade, combines a sixties folk/rock sound with dark tinges, his solid song writing and thoughtful, meaningful lyrics

Mike Usinger...Georgia Straight There’s no shortage of hipster-approved hot spots on Main Street, so it says something about Joey Only that he chooses Duffin’s Donuts as a meeting place. When the Georgia Straight sits down with the ex–squeegee kid turned anti-folksinger, there’s not a white-belted scenester to be found. At the tables out f... more info
