Spend Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1 on Granville Island, taking in the sights, the sounds, the atmosphere, and the delicious tastes of this very special part of our glorious city. On Canada Day, Granville Island is bursting with excitement and pride, offering a wealth of events and activities for everyone to enjoy, with many of the events free of charge.
There's the fun and fabulous Canada Day Parade, along with an Official Canada Day Ceremony. Visit the Mela! Festivals - a lively bazaar with music, dance and mouth-watering food from around the world, stellar TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival concerts, an eclectic variety of Family Pavilion shows and concerts, dance performance, a wide range of participatory activities, buskers and roving characters, bike decorating, maple mural making, fun on the water, and so much more.
