Ross Birdwise:

Ross Birdwise is a Vancouver-based musician, visual artist and curator. His music practice encompasses improvisation, vocals, noise and electronic music. His visual art practice encompasses photography and video. Recently he curated sound art shows for the Surrey Art Gallery, and completed a soundtrack to a film by installation artist Keith Langergraber. He has been working on an as yet unreleased full length album that attempts to warp the listener's perceptions of space and time. When he is not involved in art and music, Ross enjoys reading philosophy, cultural criticism and political theory.

Fractal Proboscis:
An experimental collaboration between Daniel Mackenzie Karrasch, Janine Island, Thomas Speakman, and Justin Devries. Improvised meta-maximal throbbing waves.

Old skool beats, random galactic interference, microtonal industrial noise, and exotic plumes of melodic charm.
Spectrum Interview is an electronic quartet performing / recording improvised music on a variety of analog and digital synthesizers / drum machines, both new and vintage. Most recently the band has moved towards beat driven passages, ranging from subdued atmospheric pulses to ecstatic rhythmic intensity.

Whip of the UFO:

"it's like being passed out in the gutter at 5 am and having the street
cleaner drive over your face" Geoff Berner

"Whip of the UFO violently inserted our brains into the turbine of a
futuristic lawn mower with giant machine gun turrets." Discorder
Andrew Scott and usually Jon Scofield are Whip of the UFO.

Whip of the UFO is named after Andrew's great grandfather, Andrew Hicks,
Whip of the United Farmers of Ontario, 1919-1923.
