Perryscope Concerts and Vogue Productions are proud to announce Shearwater with guests Husky (AU) at The Media Club on Saturday July 21, 2012.

Hailing from Austin, Texas Shearwater recently released Animal Joy through refiners of fine independent taste, Sub Pop. It's been suggested-by fans, detractors and even by the band's founder-that Shearwater and whatever we call underground/indie/whatever-rock in this part of the century are not an obvious fit. So much of what we hear these days is willfully insular. Jonathan Meiburg's songs by contrast have constantly tackled bigger questions and been propelled by massive musical ambitions.
