On September 10, Rwandan-Canadian Mighty Popo will produce the first annual KigaliUp Music Festival in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital. To support the festival, Mighty Popo will be performing concerts across Canada, including Vancouver for KigaliUp, a special world music extravaganza along with multiple Juno award winning West African guitarist Alpha Yaya Diallo, Latin dance band TANGA, Victoria’s frenzied gypsy-ska collective the Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra, the funky Afro-beat band Miami Device, innovative cellist Cris Derksen and and blues rock-country soulsters No Sinner.
