Second annual Rock-Out to Conquer Cancer benefit concert featuring

Come help Team RJC's efforts to support the BC Cancer Foundation through the Ride to Conquer Cancer.

The Ride to Conquer Cancer is an epic 2-day 260km cycling journey from Vancouver to Seattle in support of the BC Cancer Foundation. Participants of this ride are charged with the important duty of not only completing the ride, but also raising as much money as possible for the cause.... and this is where you come in! Please come out and stomp your feet, shake your booty and tilt a pint in support of this amazing cause!

The Elixxxirs
A dash of Rockabilly, a pinch of Punk, and a shake of Ska - blend it with pop/rock and you have an elixir that people want a taste of.
Heat it on high with Bobbi-Jo's racy lyrics, Chris' violating bass lines, Alec's delectable drumming, and Kevins kick ass guitar riffs and you have The Elixxxirs – the awesomeness that has audiences screaming for MORE!
The Brass Action
The Brass Action is high-energy horn-driven ska at its finest! This 6-piece band brings with it a wide variety of influences and styles to the stage. Be prepared to dance, skank, mosh, sweat, and find out why they’re called The Brass Action.
The AK 747’s
AK-747s is made up of Rob (vocals/guitar), Izzy (drums), Chris (violin) and Dana (vocals/bass). AK-747s is all about putting on a crazy show and having a good time. If you're looking for a band that sings about how their basement art show didn't turn out, wears their sisters pants, and bitches about the sound system on-stage while trying to look important, GTFO. Otherwise, we'll see you at the next show, beers in hand!
Hazel Vibes
With classical, jazz, and R&B influences, Hanif (Piano/Guitar/Vocals) and Faizal (Guitar/Vocals) will let their acoustic groove flow and put a soulful spin on some classics. So sit back, relax and get swept away by the Hazel Vibes.
Lady Mishmash
“There’s an awful lot of great music talent in the fair city of Vancouver and one artist that always brings a unique spin is none other than Lady Mishmash…Having fronted a few different bands in her time (currently she heads up Reggae cover band, Reggae on the Rocks) but seems to be finding her sound well as a solo artist…Combining impressive guitar playing, creative songwriting and sweet soulful vocals, I think it’s fair to say Mishmash is a rare talent!”

Since their start in 2005, the band has developed far beyond its original ska/reggae format, serving up an original and infectious mix of pop, rock, and punk. May the Bridges I Burn Light the Way Forward is the first full length album by AK-747s. Inexplicably tied with Black Mountain and beating out Mother Mother in the 2011 WestEnder Best of Vancouver poll, AK-747s burns bridges and slaughters sacred cows. We play fast music. Topics include war, murder, betrayal, encouraged suicide, and a pretty butterf... more info
