Event Archive - Solidarity Rock Cuba Benefit: AK-747s, The Receptionists, Antiparty

Fri. March 18th 2011 LanaLou's (No Minors)
9:00pm - 1:30am doors at 8:30pm
Presented by: Solidarity Rock
Solidarity Rock is an artist run organization working to partner musicians, artists and creative people in Cuba, Canada and beyond. Since 2008, we have been working to collect instruments and musical equipment to help our friends in Cuban rock bands find their own way through music. Now Cuban musicians are creating their own scene, their own music, and their own community with the help of bands from across Canada.

Bring your old music equipment to the show and we will send it to Cuban musicians. No donation is too great or too small. From guitars to strings to picks to cords to sticks to pedals to drum skins to amps, Cuban musicians need whatever we can provide them with. We are also raising funds to bring the first Cuban rock band to Canada to tour Our country as a cultural exchange.

Not just another rock show, this March 18th, bring your friends down for what is guaranteed to be a great time to help Cuban musicians find their own way in music. Rock Solidario.
