ARCTIC celebrates returning from their tour of France!
ARCTIC: Haunting and moody with a hypnotic groove, ARCTIC conjures up chilly northern landscapes and intensely rich, layered space rock with their unique blend of electronic & acoustic sound that's been called "Metric meets Neil Young" and "ethereal art-rock akin to Radiohead or Fleet Foxes".
THE GENTLE INFIDELS: With a series of handmade guitars, a fretless bass and a cello, The Gentle Infidels offer a unique take on contemporary folk music. They draw influence from Led Zeppelin and The Tea Party, Burt Jansch and Leo Kotke. The Gentle Infidels take the energy of a symphony and compress it down into three instruments.
DAVID BLAIR: Acoustic pop with some flavour! David’s live performances, described as "Jason Mraz meets Maroon 5", are as endearing as his songs, landing him two official 2010 Olympic performances in Vancouver, as well as an opening slot for Juno nominee K’Naan. In addition, he has showcased his music at festivals around the world and toured from New York to LA in support of “Hard to Control” (2007) and “Things Left Unsaid” (2009).
STRIDE ELEMENTARY - Seamlessly blending thunderous drum patterns with analog synth wonder and fusing gentle reflective passages with feedback-driven bliss, Stride Elementary's bewitching musical brew has simmered to perfection. Combining backgrounds in classic rock, funk, classical music, jazz, post punk and post rock, their music will take your hand and lead you from the halls of primary school to a world limited only by imagination.
