Event Archive - THE LUNA RIOT (special acoustic set): We Hunt Buffalo, Luna Riot, War Baby, The POLISHED ROCKS

Fri. October 15th 2010 Railway Club (No Minors)
8:30 PM
Friday, October 15th:

"While many bands that give themselves animal names seem anything but wild, We Hunt Buffalo's Devotion to the dying art of rock 'n' roll is feral enough that the group can call itself whatever the hell it pleases."
- The Georgia Straight
“Step aside, Green Hour Band, you're not alone any more. Last year, GHB released one of the best B.C.-produced albums of the year. The accent was on psychedelic hard rock that was singularly good. At this early date in 2009, local trio The Luna Riot has made one of the best records of the year and it, too, is psychedelic. The songs of Travis Smyth swirl like good psychedelia is supposed to, but have a garage-rock aggression that keeps them from turning fey and affected.” - Tom Harrison, The Province
Doors: 8:30 pm. $10
