Event Archive - Open Mike!:

Thu. February 26th 2004 Donato's Cafe and Bistro (All Ages)
7 - 10:30
Presented by: Shaun Lester
Summary of events:

Lot's of new faces.
Phil cams and played us set of Spanish Flamenco like tunes. Very nice but I
didn't get this guys email address so if anyone out there knows what it is
please let me know.

Our very own "You are the Man" Jingles played us a few of his originals
tunes and absolutely blew us away. I think this man has got a gig here
anytime. Just give us the word brother. Very nice tunes.

Kate Lions, Rosco Blur and myself played a few tunes from the "Soma Cruise
Set". Silky vocals Sax and Bass come together and make love in the heavy
atmosphere of a warm bistro. Nough said. Yeah!

Barry Bruyere "Mystic Groove" played a few originals from his up and coming
CD. and should be back this Thursday with somemore. Barry is also a master
carpenter, so if you need to get some work done or need to do some trading
... come see Barry this Thursday.

Gary and Ken played a few sets of stellar jazz improvision and finished with
Shai Thompson singing a rendition of Gary and Ken's arrangement of "Little
Wing". Excellent.

Delaney Rose stopped in after a really busy week of gigs. Played a few
lovely tunes and gave us that smile that makes the sun come out. Love ya

Don, whose last name I still can't remember, (guitarist for the Delaney Rose
Band) played us a few covers that were simply awesome. I don't think you
know this Don, but you actually made a girl cry with your sweet voice. This
is a good thing K?
