Event Archive - Rockfest: A Virgin in Hollywood, explaining colours to the blind, The Vincent Black Shadow

Fri. October 10th 2003 The Pic Pub (No Minors)
11:00 pm
Casbah! soldiers on with another punkrockdanceparty with an all local line-up. A Virgin in Hollywood state that the Misfits are one of their main influences, which I think is pretty cool. Explaining Colours to the Blind played a few Fridays ago, opening for Desarmador and The Redscare. For me they were the surprise of the evening, with their very sincere approach to punk rock – a little emo and a little math. One could compare them perhaps to Modest Mouse. Plus The Vincent Black Shadow who apparently are quite upbeat inspite of their gothy name.

With Casbah residents DJ John Cougar and my! gay! husband!
