MALLSEX is a Vancouver, Canada-based post-punk band. Formed in 2018 out of a mutual love of noise and synthesizers, MALLSEX combines elements of punk, art-punk, shoegaze, darkwave, and noise.

MALLSEX’s debut album, Discreet Services, released in October of 2018, went on to chart on North American college radio for 20 consecutive weeks. The album went on to make Rodney Anonymous’ (The Dead Milkmen) ‘Best of’ 2018 list.

Live in Reverse, the follow-up LP to Discreet Services, crystallizes the potent song-craft of the debut, homing in on a precise, pummelling post-punk attack of guitar blasts and growling synthesizers. Live in Reverse is what happens when you toss the Pixies in a blender with an equal measure of Preoccupations, blast it on high, and then light it on fire.

Feeling strange and anxious about the state of the world, we (Ladder) filter that feeling into a pummeling attack of guitars and pads. The world is slanted and teetering. We need to shake your mind and your body.
