Long awaited mini album from this Vancouver junior all-star trio who execute their brand of warm and thoughtful “post-rock”, with the results delivered sans electronics and cut and paste instead using conventional strings, drums, & keys (and saw!). Chris Harris is in the band P;ano (who’s CD has been embraced in the US and Japan), Scott Malin is a notable graphic and comic artist who has done time in Blaise Pascal (pre-Destroyer) and Kid Champion, as has third Secret Three member Brady Cranfield. Brady also is a key figure in the Vancouver esoteric and experimental music scene, a ring leader of sorts to scores of interesting laptoppers as he is responsible for an annual showcase of experimental electronic artists called, Open Circuits. He also conceived the Beautiful Music Festival, which features a variety of innovative “quiet” music, though loud enough to be audible.
