Big Business-Head for the Shadow

This has got to be the dirtiest, sleaziest, thickest slab of roughage that I have had the great good luck of listening to this millennium.

At eight songs, it seems like it isn't enough time to marvel at the raunchy gristle that they pound out. The songs have this grotesque awkwardness about them, like that unclean, unpopular kid in school. You didn't want to be his friend, but everyone knew who he was.

I dig his vocals that make him sound like he is blasting off at warp speed and he can't sing fast enough to crack the space-time continuum; however, the term "One Trick Pony" comes to mind.

Sidebar: What is it with vocalists nowadays? It's like they are too afraid to experiment with their range and styles and potential and dynamic that they offer a one-item menu. Discuss. And discus, if you like.

Favourite song title: Stareadactyl.

Best Song: Technically Electrified.

If you are having a doomy-fuzz party with many unwashed characters, here is your soundtrack. - Thu, 13 Oct 2005 10:28pm

it was reviewed earlier, but hell yeah this is a good one. one of the best records i totally forgot to add in that "best of 2005" thread. fans of this band should check out Lightning Bolt who are wackier. - Fri, 14 Oct 2005 3:52am
