surviving a bit of a weaker response for anthems of rebellion, doomsday machine is arch enemy. the album is not remeniscent of anything they've done before. all the tracks are very well structured the songs are immaculate. the vocals are very "wages of sin" like; raspy and distorded which make this album so great. the gus g solo is intense. my personal view is i was a bit weary of purchasing this album not knowing if i should expect recycled songs or just a bunch of garbage, fortunately i was wrong. like i said the vocals are great, the bass and guitar chops are "pure fucking metal" and the drums are incredible, coming from a drummer, all the double bass work is meticulous. wicked album - Mon, 15 Aug 2005 5:43pm

I would have to agree!!! I am a huge fan of their 1st vocalist and didnt care for either of their last two albums, but things have changed. This cd is intense. The songs rip and the vocals are nicely compressed unlike the last couple where she seemed so much more screech-like or ( you know what I mean ) Definatly one of the albums of the year so far! - Mon, 29 Aug 2005 11:58pm
