The Firearms Quartet were formed in October 2005 in conservative Calgary Alberta, Fusing the elements of folk and hip-hop an innovative new sound was born... Concentrating on pressing social issues and positivity, the Quartet succeed in capturing the listeners attention with honest lyrics and danceable music, this combination of raw musicality and a heartfelt desire to break the boundaries that exist between people is what has attracted many listeners to the Quartet. After Completing production on 2 albums for Internal Affairs, Decline appeared on albums by Virtue, Overit and various Olive Hour Records releases. An album made over a weekend with Concept entitled "Shakespeare Falling" came soon thereafter. This impressive catalogue of music is complimented by Sportsnets' BMX show "Ride On" which features the music of Decline. Details lent an appearance on Virtues "Prosthetic Senses" album while gathering material for the Firearms Quartet and playing numerous shows in Calgary and BC, he is currently producing using his skills as a multi-instrumentalist to create a more organic sound rarely explored in hip-hop. Inhaling the magic of such artists as Benny Goodman, Sting, and John Lennon, the Quartet exhale a stillness into the manic fabric of existence. Bringing a high-energy show centered around universal concepts into the stale medium of hip-hop The Firearms Quartet stand in the shadows, radiating light into the souls of those who dare to look into the unknown... . With guest appearances from Jon and PJ Miller of LuciDream as well as Metawon.
