As a member of the Last Corvairs, once dubbed "The Best Unsigned Band In Canada" by Much Music's Terry David Mulligan, Bob Kemmis has shared the stage with such notable bands as The Tragically Hip, The Bodeans, The Beat Farmers, and TPOH to name a few.

When the Last Corvairs called it a day, Bob's focus switched toward songwriting. Supporting himself as a guitar tech for Vancouver pop/rock band Odds, Bob made a number of sojourns to Nashville. Finding that Nashville and it's cookie cutter songwriting formula was no place for the likes of him, Bob returned to Vancouver and began concentrating on his solo performances as well as the making of "KEMMISUTRA", his debut cd.

With the release of "KEMMISUTRA", Bob traveled across Canada performing with acts such as Ron Sexsmith, Cowboy Junkies and Bob Wiseman. The CD garnered much critical acclaim as well as nominations for both the Georgia Straight Music Awards and The West Coast Music Awards.

The new millenium marked the release of Bob's second full-length album, TOMORROW DOESN'T LOOK GOOD EITHER, an acoustic effort featuring musical guests Zubot & Dawson, Pat Steward and Doug Elliott (Odds) and Don Kerr (Rheostatics, Ron Sexsmith), among others. Hand-picked by Jann Arden to open her 26-date cross-Canada tour in June 2000, Bob attracted rave reviews for his engaging live show. Recently, Bob was called upon by veteran Canadian rockers, 54-40 to be a keyboard/guitarist for their Casual Viewin' Pop Experience tour of 2001. National distribution through Festival, college radio airplay and a fall 2002 tour are ensuring that he won't be a secret for long.
