In 1995, two years before starting BURDEN, Sean Spear(guitar)and Jason Kolins(vocals)had a shortlived SXE outfit called xABSTAINx. Rounded out originally by Spear's Ex-Decadence bandmates Don Wisniewski(Bass),and Dan???(Drums), the group played a few all ages and bar shows locally with their friends Minority and recorded an unreleased demo in 1995 with Jason Cambell(Erase). The band played the NFA Blockbuster in Richmond and soon after parted ways.
