The Jazz Festival roars to a closing crescendo with a huge dance party in the park. Vancouver’s acclaimed 20-piece powerhouse Orquesta Goma Dura will provide the sizzling salsa and non-stop Latin groove rhythms. Led by trumpeter/composer John Korsrud, and boasting the best resident jazz and Latin music all-stars, this musical juggernaut smokes its way through tunes by Eddie Palmieri, Arturo Sandoval, Tito Puente, and then some. With Susanna Abreu, Danay Sinclair vocals, Martin Romero, Jack Duncan, Phil Belanger, Edgar Romero percussion, Ross Gregory, Kent Wallace, Derry Byrne trumpets, Dennis Esson, Brad Muirhead, Rod Murray, Jeremy Berkman trombones, Bill Runge, Graham Ord, Mike Braverman, Daniel Miles Kane saxophones, Allan Johnston bass, Lou Mastroianni piano.
