Grunge / Alternative Rock from Vancouver BC
Rampant Lion is a Vancouver grunge band that started when three friends climbed into the attic of an old house and discovered a musical chemistry beyond the ordinary. Nicknamed “The Rampant Lion” after an old pub sign found in the alley, the house had been a gathering place for artists, writers, and musicians since the hippie days of the 1960’s. It was in this creative den that the band Rampant Lion was born and then released into the wild…
"Endless Night Nameless City" was recorded at The Noise Floor Studios on Gabriola Island, home to producer Jordan Koop (War Baby, Dead Soft). The EP features 7 dynamic rock songs showcasing the band’s blend of dark and light, bitter and sweet. Now available for download and on Limited Edition Tape Cassette with the B-Side including a Bonus 7 rare demo tracks recorded at the Rampant Lion jam space with a single mic.
The past 5 years have seen Rampant Lion self-record their debut EP "The Attic" with Ian Huntley (Owl Skowl), tour British Columbia, record their second EP "Mirror Distortion" in Seattle over just 3 days with legendary producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney), play exciting live shows in Western Canada, and record their 3rd effort "Endless Night Nameless City" with Jordan Koop (War Baby Dead Soft) at The Noise Floor Studios. "Endless Night Nameless City" has received airplay on college radio across Canada.
