The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts presents the Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra (VICO) in Inter-Culturealistic on September 30, 2006 at 7:30 p.m in the Telus Studio Theatre. This concert of Canadian intercultural works is the culmination of a six-part educational series on intercultural music making entitled Music of the Whole World. Featured composers John Oliver, Michael O’Neill, Farshid Samandari and Moshe Denburg will bring together the VICO and resident choir Laudate Singers to perform works with the world music elements and intercultural marriages covered in the series: Persian, Asian, Chinese, Scottish Bagpipes with Japanese Taiko and more.
