Fri. October 20th 2006 8pm @  The Media Club (No Minors) 8pm
. Friday, October 20th IMU & CiTR present The Glim Project CD Release Party w/ Shiver, Submission + Incura @ The MEDIA CLUB, 695 Cambie . 8pm / $10

The GLIM PROJECT is a full out rock band; a unique, hyper-energetic mish mash that cannot easily fit into one category in today's rock scene. Too progressive to get radio play, not progressive enough to be considered prog rock... too loud and aggressive for the hipsters, but not enough for extreme metal heads. Furious guitars loop around heavy percussive drumming, while galloping bass riffs cut right down the middle. Visually, it's quite a feast, as the band pours out every bit of energy they have in bringing their creations to life.

SHIVER seamlessly blends heavy chunky guitar riffs with hook-laden melodies to form a captivating variation of classic rock'n'roll. Hard Rock with a metallic, yet melodic edge, Shiver blends many styles of music creating a a wild live show that's sound second to none.

INCURA - This progressive rock-metal band formed late 2004 with the mind set to create an individual musical art form, open minds, and push the musical envelope. No "one" sound can describe the creature that is now Incura. They take original lyrics, percussion, riffs, melodies, and create addictive songs with "an eerie depth that speak the truth and make you think."

SUBMISSION is a Vancouver- based trio with rock sensibilities and a metal edge. Together for eight years, the three natives of Lethbridge, Alberta have developed a dynamic sound, which combined with soul and heart and spirit and a no-holds-barred live show, rocks audiences into Submission. Showing profound maturity and extraordinary musical sensibility the band has already shared the stage with Sam Roberts, Mathew Good, Treble Charger, Holly McNarland, Chantal Kreviazuk, Sloan, Gob, Theory of a deadman, Eve 6 and Cheap Trick and received airplay throughout Canada.
