They don’t make ’em like Todd Rundgren anymore. A producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, hit-maker and all-around musical visionary, Todd has been a pop music pioneer since debuting with his solo album Runt in 1971 (before that, he played with garage-rock band The Nazz). In the early ’70s Todd had a string of AM radio hits like “Hello It’s Me”, “Wouldn’t Have Made Any Difference” and “I Saw the Light”, before turning his attention to more spiritual lyrics and progressive-rock arrangements. As a producer, Rundgren has worked with many legendary talents, including Meatloaf, Sparks, New York Dolls, Badfinger, the Pursuit of Happiness, Cheap Trick, Patti Smith, Bad Religion, Cheap Trick and XTC (and that’s just a partial list). Rundgren has continued to release albums of new material, such as 1993’s interactive disc No World Order and 2004’s exceptionally well received Liars, and old, including bossanova versions of previous material on 1997’s With a Twist. More recently, he has been recording with and fronting the New Cars, featuring a revitalized line-up of the classic ‘80s new wave band (“Just What I Needed”, “Candy O”). With special guests.

Jerry Marotta

(from website) Jerry Marotta is an anomaly. A peculiar Picasso painting, a cubist conundrum, bursting onto the music scene with no explanation and no apology. Whether you know him for his seismic tribal tones with Peter Gabriel in the 70's and 80's, his intricate percussive rhythms with artists like Indigo Girls and Ani Difranco in the 90's, or ... more info
