This evening of Spoken Word and Jazz will feature local wordsmiths Ivan Coyote and Rachel Flood, as well as the passionate and powerful Tara Hardy from Seattle, and the improv stylings of Empressions - a branch of the Kalmunity Vibe Collective from Montreal.

Ivan E. Coyote (storyteller)

Ivan Coyote was born and raised in the Yukon, but currently inhabits an attic in East Vancouver, where he writes books, lists, and funny stories. Funny poignant. Yep. That's Ivan's specialty. more info

Rachel Flood (poetry/ spoken word)

Rachel Flood has been performing at and producing events in Vancouver for over six years. She has been instrumental in the creation of many local events and programs including: unrefined at the Sugar Refinery, the annual Sista'Hood Celebration, The Momentum Project and the New Forms Festival.
