Come celebrate with The Written Years as they release their self-titled debut CD joined by Cornshed, Fighter Jet & Sons Of Daughters!

THE WRITTEN YEARS merges together a unique combination of indie rock, traditional folk, post rock and alt rock influences to deliver lyrically-driven songs with themes of affection, belonging, loss and nostalgia. Featuring passionate, melancholic, acid-tinged vocals, melodic, memorable guitar hooks, and dynamic, unexpectedly triumphant drum parts, this compelling trio presents a highly energetic live show that manages to feel incredibly intimate.

FIGHTER JET - An Eastside garage band with stoner rock sensibilities, Fighter Jet is destined to take audiences on a wild ride to new heights and far away places. Navigating a flight plan of soaring melodic hooks with explosive climbs and daring dives, Fighter Jet is ready for take off!

CORNSHED - A blend of East Coast, folk, and bluegrass with the tempo and driving force of a punk band makes Vancouver's Cornshed a stomping, rabble-rousing, "forget about your next day of work" experience. Back to the roots is the simplest way to put it, and the boot stompin’ tunes these guys play get everyone dancing. With an undeniable fire burning in their belly, Cornshed are about to bring the dead back to life.

SONS OF DAUGHTERS builds a shared love for gritty, southern, whisky-slinging blues into undeniable songwriting chemistry showcasing the talents of Chrystal Leigh, frontwoman for Dave Ogilvie’s industrial pop hybrid project Jakalope & Jimmy Thow, former frontman for Vancouver hard rock band Machines. Their music offers swampy riffs, haunting melodies, fireside storytelling and refreshingly candid vocals.

+ In the Railway's Caboose:

Be sure to join drummer James Adams in the Railway's Caboose this special evening as he plays his final performance with Buddy Holic before moving back east!

BUDDY HOLIC (11pm) - Bringing the music of BUDDY HOLLY back to life, Buddy Holic sweeps you away to a time when rock'n'roll was fresh and exciting. The band was formed by some of Vancouver's most seasoned musicians as an homage to a musician who influenced them to start playing music.

WAYNE SCHMIDT (10pm) - A veteran of numerous local bands, Wayne Schmidt has been playing guitar, writing songs and singing since he was 9 years old. Inspired by Jimmy Page, Marc Bolan, The Beatles and David Bowie, his solo work brings his considerable production, songwriting and multi-instrumentalist skills to the forefront.

The WRITTEN YEARS CD Listening Party! (midnight) - Don't miss the official back room listening party for the Written Years' self-titled debut CD, right after their main stage set!
