The title of this concert, A Little Jazz / A Little Tango, is self-explanatory. The Choir is joined by piano icons Miles Black (jazz) and Linda Lee Thomas (tango) and a great rhythm section for a taste of choral music from the lighter side of the repertoire. Famous names Astor Piazzolla and George Shearing will anchor the program, with the premiere of Elise Letourneau's Four Love Poems by E.E. Cummings, and some special treats and surprises from Choir favourite Bob Chilcott and others.

Vancouver Chamber Choir

The Vancouver Chamber Choir is Canada's outstanding professional vocal ensemble. Based on the Pacific Coast in British Columbia, conductor Jon Washburn and his twenty singers are noted for their diverse repertoire and performing excellence. Miles Black (Jazz)

Miles Black has been performing professionally since 1980, and has played with many of the jazz greats around the world. He is featured on many albums. more info
